San Diego County fees and rulesI inspect properties in San Diego County. Send the city with the request. I confirm the parcel is in this county before we pick a date.
A county is added here only after its adopted fee schedules are actually compiled. Empty county pages stay off this site.
City of San Diego, unincorporated land, and the incorporated cities whose fire authorities sit in the San Diego fee table. That is the current service area, and it is the only county with a child page.
I do not publish a mile radius. Send the city. I confirm the parcel is in this county before we pick a date, and I will say if it is outside the area instead of booking it.
When another county has an adopted fee table behind it, it gets its own child page under this hub. Until then, the list stays one county long on purpose.
Farther parcels are settled after the request lands, not with a published drive-time chart.
The form asks for city and property type. That is enough to start. A street address in the notes helps me confirm the parcel.
If the parcel is in San Diego County, we pick a date. If it is not, I say so instead of booking it.
Two properties in the same part of the county can often share a trip. That is arranged after the requests land, not as a published route.
A signed agreement still comes before I walk the lot. The request is the start of that conversation, not the inspection itself.
Inside the City of San Diego, San Diego Fire-Rescue is the authority. Outside the city, the local fire protection district is the authority, under the County Wildland-Urban Interface Code. That split is the same question in every county.
San Diego Fire-Rescue Department. Zone 0 for new structures applying for a building permit on or after February 28, 2026, and for existing structures one year after that date, under SDMC §512.0604(e), ordinance O-22042 N.S. Fire-Rescue’s 2028 and 2029 guideline years are guidance, not the ordinance.
Twelve fire protection districts under the 2026 County of San Diego Wildland-Urban Interface Code, effective April 2, 2026 (Ord. Nos. 10977 and 10978 (N.S.)). Zone 0 is Sec. 604.12.1. Adopted text is in force; whether that text is enforced on existing homes is unsettled from published material.
Statewide Zone 0 is not in force. The Board of Forestry emergency filing was listed withdrawn on September 8, 2026. Local rules still apply. The San Diego fee table and jurisdiction matrix live on the San Diego County page.
Fourteen jurisdictions, five published official fees, nine unpublished cells. The private visit is $249 either way.
